Harriet Kelsall Bespoke Jewellery is one of the UK’s leading bespoke jewellery companies. The award winning Jewellery Centre can be found in a contemporary converted Tudor barn, located in the North Hertfordshire village of Weston. Visitors can enjoy a relaxed environment while having a consultation with a designer over a sketchbook, enjoy homemade cake in the coffee shop, watch the goldsmiths at work and browse cabinets of spectacular one-off pieces of jewellery. Alternatively, for those more local to Cambridge, a contemporary but equally as relaxed showroom and design studio can be found in Green Street.
The company is also well recognised for its ethical stance. In 2011, HKBespoke was chosen as one of the first 20 companies worldwide to hold a Fairtrade gold license. It was also selected by the Fairtrade Foundation as their choice of ‘Luxury Boutique Jeweller’. Membership of the Responsible Jewellery Council quickly followed and the business was the first independent to be certified by both organisations. The importance of ethics pervades every aspect of the company’s dealings, thanks to the clear direction and socially focused ethos of Managing Director Harriet Kelsall. Many of the awards the company has won are a tribute to Harriet’s vision, including ‘Woman of the Year’ at the Specsavers Everywoman in Retail Awards in 2011. In 2014 Institute of Directors Magazine named Harriet as one of six ‘women who have most changed the business world’. The company has won numerous commendations since, including nominations in 2015 for ‘Retailer of the Year’ at The National Association of Jewellers Awards, Business in the Community’s ‘Responsible Small Business Award’, and ‘Ethical Business of the Year’ finalist at the UK Jewellery Awards. These are just a few of the major awards and acknowledgments of the company’s innovation, creativity and leading position among the UK’s bespoke jewellery retailers.
Today Harriet Kelsall Bespoke Jewellery is a growing international business with a team of 33, largely made up of designers and goldsmiths, who work closely with customers to create unique and stunning pieces of jewellery to an exceptionally high standard.
