Built in 1750 The Old Shire Hall is a magnificent Grade I listed historic building that features a main hall, three courtrooms and cells.
The Old Shire Hall complex was used by Her Majesty’s Courts Service right up until 2010, and now this beautiful building can be used for your wedding celebration.
This impressive venue offers an unparalleled combination of capacity and character, and is ideal for celebrations for upto 280 guests for wedding ceremonies. In addition to this, the Georgian Grade II listed Judges’ House offers elegant dining and drawing rooms that are ideal for fine dining and drinks receptions.
If you opt for a church wedding we have St Marys located at the end of the road, a stones throw away from The Old Shire Hall, meaning you can get ready in the Bridal Dressing Room at the venue and then make your over to the church.
The in house caterers Wild View Events will design and prepare bespoke menus for your wedding breakfast that can be tailored to your tasted. When you book your wedding at Old Shire Hall, you will be invited to a complimentary tasting where you can sample your menu choices and wine.
The Old Shire Hall has a range of beautiful rooms that are licensed for civil ceremonies, enabling you to hold your entire day in one location. You will also have a dedicated event manager who will oversee your day, making sure that your guests are well looked after.
