The Internet is a very powerful tool but at the same time can also be very impersonal, so our intention over the coming details is to try and make you feel as welcome as we possibly can, at the same time as giving you the information you need.

As a small family run business, Blackbrook has been a part of our lives for the last 16 years. During this time we have met some wonderful people and have enjoyed creating some amazing weddings, and so many other lovely events. Everything that we do is different, many of our guests say what we do is unique, for us that is such an amazing accolade! Having set out to be different, it is a pleasure to hear that we have achieved our goal and helped so many people create some fantastic memories along the way.

We have come to understand over the years, why what we do is so important, and how our passion for what we do is the reason for our success. There is nothing that fills us with greater pride than seeing so many people so very happy.

At Blackbrook House we believe that your wedding day should be about you! After all, it’s your day not ours. We don't want to tell you what you should have, we want you to tell us what you'd like and then we'll guide you through what can be achieved. Our unique approach means that every wedding that we host is individually designed and created, taking into account every little detail, because it's not always the big things that count, but it’s the little things that make the difference.

We believe passionately about what we do, we don’t leave anything to chance and it’s the meticulous planning that enables you to relax and enjoy your day. Whether your wedding is big or small, we love creating them all. We don't have minimum numbers but our maximum for a traditional style wedding is 120 day guests with up to 60 additional guests at night.

We are fully licensed to hold civil ceremonies and civil weddings or partnerships! The house and gardens are licensed, imagine having a perfect summers day and being able to create an outdoor ceremony in the beautiful Derbyshire countryside? It can be just as perfect indoors.... our light and bright Terrace room can be adorned with flowers and dressed with many gorgeous things to create a truly romantic setting that will not disappoint you in any way. If you're thinking of a smaller ceremony, then our drawing room provides a lovely intimate environment in which to exchange your vows.
