Our Main Hall is the centrepiece of the building, with elements dating back to 1878, including the unique Stephen Adam stained glass on display at the top of our windows. The Halls are a light and airy space with a modern finish adding a beautiful backdrop to your ceremony or reception. The Halls were refurbished in 2012, bringing a whole new lease of life to this historical building. This makes it the perfect wedding location, with all the character of an old building, but with the convenience of modern facilities. Our Main Hall features a full lighting rig, plus a digital projector and large screen to give you the opportunity to play a video or a slideshow of photographs to add that personal touch to your ceremony or reception. We also have a full PA system with microphones for those all-important wedding speeches! The building is fully accessible, with automatic front doors, wheelchair access throughout, lift access to the upper areas and a hearing loop. There is also an accessible drop-off point at the entrance gates on Gairbraid Avenue, allowing easier access for visitors with limited mobility. The large windows throughout the hall allow for lots of natural light, bringing the blue skies inside! Additionally, our Outdoor Courtyard offers the opportunity to get some fresh air and to take some unique photographs with the historic lamp post. We are very much a DIY venue when it comes to weddings, so the hall can be decorated to suit your own tastes. Whether your colour scheme is Something Blue, or all the colours of the rainbow, you can bring in decorations including chair covers, centrepieces and flowers to make the Hall your dream wedding space. We can also discuss the possibility of customising the hall lights to complement your décor. Maryhill Burgh Halls works with a carefully-chosen board of partnered caterers. With a variety of food and bar suppliers to choose from, you can be assured that our caterers will be able to work with you to devise the perfect menu for your big day. As we work exclusively with these caterers, we don't allow for self-catering or the use of companies not on our partners list. This ensures your food and drink will be of top quality, with the highest level of service. Our caterers are very adept at accommodating a range of menu types, tastes and dietary requirements and have vast experience in catering events large and small. They will work with you from the start to ensure your catering is as perfect as the rest of your day.
