Ashridge House is a spectacular, award-winning wedding venue in leafy Hertfordshire, only 30 miles from London and surrounded by 190 acres of beautiful private gardens.
Licensed for civil marriage and partnership ceremonies for up to 170 guests, couples can choose to exchange vows in a number of breath taking locations. The most popular choice is on the magnificent sweeping staircase overlooking the Grand Hall, however if the sun is shining, using the South Terrace as your stage is a magical option as you can take advantage of the beautiful views to our private gardens. The Victorian Fernery is another lovely venue offering a more intimate feel for smaller weddings. The wedding ceremony, conducted by Dacorum Registrars, can be tailored to suit your special day. We are also able to offer Anglian blessings in our Chapel.
Ashridge House has beautiful heritage function spaces perfect for each element of your wedding meaning that your guests will be continually wowed by their spectacular surroundings. Every room has its own distinct personality from the palatial marble fireplaces and opulent gold leaf adorned ceilings of the Lady Marian Alford Room to the original Austrian wood panelling of the Wyatt Room. All function spaces interconnect so your guests can move easily between the rooms creating a natural flow to your day.
If you would like to share your special day with additional guests, we can host up to 210 guests in our largest space for a formal sit down dinner and up to 400 for a reception. Our talented team of executive chefs offer an exciting range of menus and will cater for all dietary requirements; please do let us know if you have a particular theme or menu in mind.
Ashridge House has 190 ensuite bedrooms onsite, and all guests have complimentary parking so your guests can relax and make themselves well and truly at home.
