It’s a rich romantic history that Hampton Manor carries with it. Back in the twelfth century Mathilde de l’Aigle became the first bride of the Manor. Nine centuries later Sir Frederick Peel built the Neo-Tudor gothic style Manor that we’re familiar with. Scour the original oak panelling, and you’ll find his initials entwined with those of his first wife, Elizabeth.

Today the staff have ditched their morning suits and donned jeans and tweed. Guests no longer perch on rush bottom chairs, but sink into sofas. There’s no longer a lady of the Manor, but a stream of guests who celebrate the relaxed lifestyle that the Manor nurtures. With Peel’s Restaurant at its core, its all about bringing together people who love great food and entertaining, and want nothing more than to kick their feet up away from the fast-paced lifestyle of London or Birmingham city living.
