Opened exactly 150 years ago it’s a remarkable venue for anyone’s wedding with its pastel, purple and gilt décor, alongside a towering ceiling, glistening wood sprung dance floor – the only one in Cumbria – and entertainment stage.
It’s the most dramatic of our five event rooms – three are licensed for civil ceremonies – that can host everything from an intimate gathering (we appreciate it may just be the two of you!) to a sit down banquet for 180 guests and an evening reception for 200. But whether it’s Victorian grandeur or contemporary elegance, all are superb stages for one of the biggest days of your life.
