  Murthly Estate

Once a royal hunting lodge, Murthly Castle overlooks a 17th century walled garden and has a long drive featuring some of the tallest trees in Scotland. The castle dates from the 15th century and is a private family home.
The nearby 400-year old Chapel, which seats up to 220 people, can host religious and humanist ceremonies. We can also host humanist and civil ceremonies for up to 145 people in the walled garden or for up to 60 people in the castle.
The picturesque settlement of Dunkeld and Birnam, overlooking the River Tay, is less than five miles away. It has a wide variety of accommodation as well as pubs, cafés and shops in addition to riverside walks.
Our approach to your wedding allows you to feel that Murthly is your own place: how the day runs is entirely up to you. Our role is to assist and advise you as best we can, rather than try to take charge. Each wedding has its own stamp, and we remember them fondly.
