Overlooking Ullswater, considered by many to be England’s most beautiful lake, our house and grounds can’t fail to provide a romantic backdrop to your wedding. We have licensed spaces in which you can tie the knot and the option for you and your guests to have the house to yourselves. Whether you want a traditional or informal affair, our qualified wedding planner will help you design the wedding you have in mind.

We work closely with couples to ensure your wedding at Rampsbeck is anything but off-the-peg. You have a choice in everything, from your chairs, to your food, your Champagne, table linen – even the mode of your arrival (boat, car and helicopter all possible). We can recommend and coordinate suppliers of flowers, marquees, tipis, bands and more.

By opting for exclusive use, you can have the run of the hotel and grounds, ensuring your wedding is private and your guests relaxed. In our 19 individually designed bedrooms we can accommodate at least a large portion of your party for a night or more. Couples who opt for exclusive use are given complimentary use of the bridal suite on their wedding night.

You can have a civil ceremony in our drawing room, garden lounge or restaurant. The drawing room seats 65 people while the garden lounge seats 20. Both have views across the gardens towards the lake and fells. The restaurant, which has cracking views of the lake, seats 100 for a civil ceremony (65 for a wedding breakfast).
