Located in 25 acres of landscaped gardens on the banks of the River Thames near to Richmond, The Lensbury comprises a four star hotel with 156 recently refurbished en-suite bedrooms and extensive leisure facilities. The property built originally in 1938 is in the style of a country club with oak panelled corridors and main staircase. The property has been added to over the years and now includes a purpose-built conference centre and the Lockside leisure building. The wedding suites are of a contemporary style with modern lighting, décor and furnishings. The Thames View Suite - our largest room, can cater for up to 180 guests seated for a wedding reception and up to 300 for the evening. This room has its own function bar and a sun deck overlooking the gardens and river, which can be used for arrival drinks and photographs. For smaller weddings, the room can be divided to provide a ceremony area or if preferred, an area for dancing and live bands. The space is very flexible, so please speak to our wedding co-ordinator about your particular requirements.

The Wimbledon Room is our second wedding reception suite which can cater for up to 100 guests seated for a wedding reception. This room is located in the conference centre wing of The Lensbury building and has large glass, floor to ceiling windows and doors which open onto a private terrace and the gardens beyond. This area can be used for arrival drinks and photographs too if required. The Wimbledon Room also has its own private bar and an in-built dance-floor and is registered for civil ceremonies.

In addition to these two main rooms, The Lensbury also has two other rooms which can be used for civil ceremonies, The Beaumont Room and The Mortimer Room, depending on numbers. The Mortimer Room also serves as an alternative room for a small, intimate dinner reception.

To help with the planning of your wedding The Lensbury now offers a choice of affordable wedding packages, The Akito Rose, The Passion Rose and The Creme de la Creme Rose packages, which offer good value for money and make the budgeting and planning of your wedding easier. They all include hire of your chosen wedding suite with chair covers for the reception, flower arrangements on the tables, a three or four course meal, house wine and overnight accommodation for the bride and groom.
