Erasmus Darwin House is a beautiful and unique venue for your wedding ceremony and reception. We aim to make your special day as easy and enjoyable as possible. We have four rooms available for hire and two are licensed to hold civil weddings seven days a week. If exclusivity is what you desire, the whole house is available at a negotiable rate.

Erasmus Darwin House is a magnificent Grade I listed Georgian Town House, which sits idyllically on the edge of Lichfield Cathedral Close, a beautiful area which is rich in history. As well as being a fantastic museum, Erasmus Darwin House also boasts a beautiful and secluded herb garden.

Once the home of Erasmus Darwin and his large family, the House has retained its friendly charm making it a perfect venue for intimate family occasions. After undergoing extensive restoration, the House opened to the public in 1999 as an independent museum, education centre and research facility.

With over 250 years of history this is a truly beautiful and unique property for your booking.
