Kilmokea specializes in looking after small Wedding Receptions and Ceremonies.
We understand your requests and work to create your perfect wedding day. It is of course one of the most important days of your life. We are licenced to host civil ceremonies in our Garden Conservatory. Blessings may be held on the lawn and we host many different ceremonies inside and outside in the glorious walled gardens.

Exclusive use of the whole house.
Exclusive use of the whole house to entertain your guests creates a very special venue . Our Garden Conservatory hosts your sit down wedding feast of up to 60 guests . It is a beautiful room within the walled gardens.For smaller guest lists we offer you our main dining room to host your sit down wedding feast . Our dining room is in the main house with sash windows looking over the walled gardens of Kilmokea and hosts your sit down wedding feast for 16 guests .
Seven acres of Heritage gardens surround the pretty rectory hosting the ideal venue for your photographs. We have seven acres of Heritage Gardens which feature beautiful backdrops for your photographs ranging from Walled Gardens, Herbacious boarders & an Organic Fruit & Vegetable maize to Irelands most extensive Fairy Village in our large woodland garden featuring Rhododendrons & Camellias, Azalias & Candelabra Primulas.

Accommodation.
Kilmokea accommodates up to twenty nine guests offering luxury bedrooms in a Georgian Rectory set in seven acres of Heritage Gardens on the River Barrow. Exclusive use of the whole house to entertain your guests may be taken on a one or two night basis.

Wedding Feast
We can supply a list of some of the courses which we have served at wedding feasts at Kilmokea. However we do like to sit down with each wedding couple and discuss their requests. This list acts therefore as an example of wedding menus at Kilmokea. We would like to stress that Emma our chef will discuss your requirements in detail upon booking. Our prices include the table settings and the hiring of tables and chairs. Emma & Geraldine our chefs really care about the food prepared for you. Our food is sourced locally. Vegetables and salads are either picked straight from the vegetable garden at Kilmokea or provided by David Ward, an organic farmer, who delivers straight to our door.

We supply all Wines & Champagnes and have an extensive wine list from which to choose from.

The Venue
The Garden Conservatory hosts a sit down reception . We close the gardens to the public on your day to ensure your reception remains totally private. It is a beautiful room within the walled gardens.
