Think of a smart Georgian town house, of high society balls and soirees in the graceful early 18th century, of fashionable ladies in ravishing gowns and their handsome beaux in boots and breeches. Then imagine your wedding day taking on the same nostalgic aura of historic elegance and style. If you yearn for the glamour of the Georgian, Regency and Victorian eras in a London mansion that has witnessed three centuries of glittering occasions, then Ranger’s House will be your ideal wedding day location.
At Ranger’s House on the edge of Greenwich Park, gilded gates open into a courtyard in front of the handsome façade of the red brick villa with its high sash windows, white pillars and portico. The venue would be exclusively yours for your special day, the perfect place for an intimate celebration with your family and friends.
Inside the beautiful Gallery bay windows, fine antique furnishings, paintings and tapestries make this a wonderful space to exchange your vows. After the ceremony, you can serve drinks, canapés and take photographs, before returning to the Gallery to dine with your guests if you wish.
A perfect site for a marquee, the Walled Garden is a charming private space which adds another outdoor area for wedding celebrations at Ranger’s House. After your Wedding ceremony in the Gallery, the wedding party can toast the future in this lovely space – either within a marquee or in the garden itself in fine weather. Two additional rooms inside, the Stone Hall and Rangers Room, may also be used in wet weather for your guests to mingle.
