Set in rural West Berkshire The Old Mill dates from 1800 when it was used as a flour mill until the 1920s.

Since 1933 it has been privately run by the Arlott family and the present owner is the 3rd generation of chefs to run our in-house catering.

Situated in one of the most picturesque locations in Royal Berkshire, The Old Mill has become one of the top locations for both wedding ceremonies and receptions in the UK. Whether you choose a church or civil ceremony, The Old Mill is a fairytale venue, complemented by the experience of husband and wife team – Robin and Diane Arlott – who, together with their dedicated staff will ensure that you and your guests are looked after from the moment you arrive until your last dance.

The Old Mill offers a spectacular backdrop for your special day, it is quite literally, a photographer’s paradise. We can cater for receptions of up to 150 guests, and both the Mill Room and Stable Room are licensed to hold civil wedding ceremonies.

Situated in our extensive grounds the Stable Room, formerly an old dairy parlour, was converted in 1983 to make an ideal venue for smaller parties. This was the first of many locations in the area to be licensed for wedding ceremonies and has since become one of the most popular and unique in the area.

We are pleased to announce that we are now also licensed for ceremonies in the Conservatory, for up to 90 people. This is a beautiful glass conservatory, with breathtaking views over the river.

The Stable Room seats up to 75 people for wedding ceremonies and 50 for parties and functions and has a fully licensed bar.

The Mill room itself can also be used for civil Ceremonies and can seat up to 90 Guest.
