MadMax is a carefully designed and purpose built activity centre, which has been used for stag and hen events since the early 1990’s. MadMax benefits from a 4×4 track, clay shooting ground, extensive quad trails, and an archery range. In 2013 MadMax relocated to the opposite end of Kirknewton Estate to a new, larger site with a purpose built access road. MadMax is situated 30 minutes from Edinburgh city centre, 10 minutes from Edinburgh Airport and 40 minutes from Glasgow. The MadMax Hub is where it all happens! This is your reception area upon arrival. Here you will receive a warm welcome from the Site Manager, be briefed for your chosen activities, change, and start your activities. As the name suggests, The Hub is at the centre of everything with all the activities located around it. The Hub is located on the edge of a picturesque wood surrounded by a stunning rural landscape.

MadMax is based at Kirknewton village on the edge of Edinburgh just ten miles from the city centre. It will take you less than 30 minutes drive to get to our multi activity day centre near Edinburgh from the city centre and it is just 15 minutes from the airport.
